Nuki Fob

The fob is the same idea remote as your car key; only the fob really opens your door at the push of a button. You can set in the menu of the app what exactly the fob does, press once then… press twice then… and even press three times then… You can link up to 200 fobs to one lock so even with a large family each member can get his fob. If there are more Nuki locks in the family (for example with your elderly parents), you can also log in to that lock with your fob, so you don't have to deal with multiple keys. As a main user/admin you can change the access of each fob individually at any time. It's even possible that your cleaning lady gets a fob that only works on Thursday mornings between 8 and 11. You should also keep in mind that you have to give every fob that you register the same name in the menu “Manage users” as when you register your new fob! Otherwise, in your Lock Log you will only see “fob” has opened the door. If you give your fob the same name in the user menu, you will see the name in the Lock Log. What is also a thing with us, but that has more to do with the app itself, is the automatic locking after opening. From the factory, the door automatically locks into the deadbolt after a few seconds after being opened. With us, that means that the claws of thieves also come out, so you can't close the door behind you with your elbow. You can prevent this by sliding the slider from Lock after Auto Unlock to the left in your “Auto Unlock” menu, now you can lock your door yourself. Of course you do this with the self-set position of your fob I bought a separate fob because not every family member can/wants to install the Nuki app on their phone.
