The National Geographic Lens Telescope 50/360 18x-60x is a compact telescope for at home or when traveling. Through the coated lenses, the telescope provides a clear image that's rich in contrast. With a maximum magnification of 60x, the telescope is suitable for looking at the moon or planets. The telescope comes with a lightweight table tripod that can be folded in to form a compact unit.

Nice toy for the novice hobbyist. However, I think that the hobby quickly tastes like more and you are therefore ready for a "bigger/better" telescope relatively quickly
