- extreme latency when passing optical line in to optical line out, unworkable delay, youtube movies are seconds behind and that is growing

Looking for a Media Streamer where you don't have to turn on the TV to operate it, The HEOS Link is a good streamer, it looks slick and has no disturbing screens and/or lights.... The only downside can be that you can only operate the HEOS link via a Tablet (Android or iOS), but that works and is sometimes useful. The only other downside of the HEOS link is the installation procedure, it is quite bizarre and takes getting used to, but once installed the link works very well and the possibilities are also reasonable. From information from Denon (the original manufacturer) there are more streaming services for the HEOS, currently spotify is one of the services I use. The HEOS Link in combination with a NAS server is good, you can listen to your own music via the stereo system and it sounds reasonable to good. So highly recommended.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this small streamer. It plays 24/192 Hires files and Tidal without hiccups over WIFI. And that's what I was looking for. With recent update, compatible with Tidal Connect. Recommended!

Nice to stream your music to other rooms, but if you work with digital sound, there are shortcomings. Installation only works via WiFi, first disconnect from wired network.
