How do I connect my DJI drone to a smartphone?
To control your DJI drone, you need the DJI Fly app. Haven't you installed this app yet? Download it in the App Store first, if you have an iPhone. Do you have an Android phone? Download the app via the DJI website. Look for your drone model on the website, and click on the Downloads button. That'll bring you to a link where you can download the app. Complete the installation. Open the app and accept the terms and conditions.
How do I connect my DJI drone to a controller?
Turn on the remote and the drone. Using a Remote Controller? Install the DJI Fly app on your smartphone. Via the screen of your smartphone or log in with your DJI account. Via the Connection Guide, you can choose the drone model you want to connect to. When you see the live footage of the camera of the drone on your screen, the remote has been connected successfully and you can take off. The next time you start up the drone and remote, they'll be connected automatically.
Do I need a drone license for a DJI drone?
For drones that weigh less than 250g, you don't need a drone license. If your drone weighs more than 250g, you do need a drone license. You need to follow a mandatory drone course for this. There are 2 different drone courses: basic (A2) and basic light (A1/A3). On the product page of a drone, you can always read which course you need.
Which DJI drones are for beginners?
A drone for beginners is compact in size, so you can easily take it with you. You can easily operate a beginner's drone with a remote or via your smartphone. The image quality of these drones is 4K resolution. That means you can record sharp footage. Starter model drones are the DJI Mini 3 or DJI Mini 4K, for example. You don't need a drone course for these drones.
How do I take out an insurance for a DJI drone?
When you buy a drone, we recomend you get a DJI Care Refresh package with it. This is an insurance for your drone. If your drone gets damaged, the insurance will replace your drone for a fixed amount. The conditions and costs differ per drone, so make sure to check which Care Refresh package suits you. You can choose from a 1 and 2-year insurance.
