Description

The Ricoh Theta SC-2 is a pocket-sized 360-degree camera which you can take with you anywhere. The various recording options allow you to record footage in different scenarios, such as group photos with the self timer or night recordings in Night View mode. The recordings are in high quality. You can take 14-megapixel photos and record videos in 4K Cinema. Thanks to the fast lens, you can take pictures 1.5 seconds after turning on the camera. This way, you improve the chance you can capture a sudden action moment. The camera also records audio in 360 degrees, which provides a realistic experience when you watch the videos with a VR headset. You can send the images wirelessly via WiFi to your smartphone or tablet, so you can share them on social media.

Should have bought years ago!

  • Super easy to take 360˚ photos
  • Control from smartphone
  • Internal HDR function works fine
  • No lens cover (but a case)

Previously I made 360˚ photos by means of an SLR with a fisheye lens on a panoramic tripod. This is considerably faster, easier and the end quality is good enough for the application (Funda). Operation and preview on your smartphone works flawlessly and is user-friendly. A real pleasure to be able to download a ready-made 360˚ photo from the Rico!

I've been testing the Theta SC-2 for a few days now and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Small and super handy device that you can easily take with you everywhere. The connection via the app is lightning fast and taking photos is very easy. The exposure and white balance are correctly estimated automatically, but you can also change it yourself. In dark rooms the noise is visible, but for a device in this price range this is a really great 360 camera!
