Description

With the Elgato Cam Link 4K, you'll no longer need a separate webcam if you already have a high-end DLSR, camcorder, or action cam. Stream a game of Call of Duty with your DLSR camera aimed at you, while the Cam Link provides a smooth image for your viewers. You can record in the highest quality, which is 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps, depending on the type of content you're creating. Is your memory card about to fill up in the middle of a stream? No problem, since the Cam Link stores your footage directly on your hard drive. That way, you won't run the risk of your footage not being saved.

Note: your camera needs to have an HDMI output (micro, mini, or regular) in order to connect to the Cam Link 4K. Also check whether you can deactivate any overlays and power-saving modes. To test whether everything works properly, you could first connect your camera to an HDMI screen or TV using HDMI.

Ok to import live HD drone footage to PC via HDMI

Purchased specifically to get live drone video from a DJI Mavic 2 over a DJI SmartController through its HDMI output into a PC. The Elgato Cam Link behaves on the PC as an (additional) camera, which can therefore be streamed (Zoom/Youtube/Facebook...).

Beautiful quality images in your stream thanks to this Cam L

  • Extra USB extension cable, so you don't block another port
  • Streaming from camcorder works well
  • CPU intensive

The product was easy to use; on my Mac I had to adjust security settings, but after that it worked immediately. The quality of the images I stream (I don't have online dance lessons) is now so much better compared to built-in webcam. The CPU usage will increase considerably, so you must have sufficient processing power in your laptop/PC/Mac. It is also important that you set your audio offset (e.g. in OBS) - the audio requires much less processing than the video and that time difference (in microseconds) is best configured otherwise there is a slight delay between picture and sound (I give tap dance, so for me that's very important)
