Tip 1: check for interference on the lawn

There are multiple things that can interfere with the signal of your Indego robot lawn mower.

  1. Make sure the grass isn't taller than 100mm. Is the grass taller than that? Mow the grass with a standard lawn mower first.

  2. Make sure the mowing route of the robot lawn mower is flat or move the perimeter wire to a more flat surface. An uneven surface with heaps of sand, large roots, or other hills prevents the Indego robot lawn mower from finishing the route.

Tip 2: check the perimeter wire

Setting up the perimeter wire has to be accurate and you need to maintain it. Object like trees and ponds affect the mowing route. Make sure the perimeter wire of the Indego 350 and 400 are is at least 30cm away from the obstacle. For other Indego models, it's at least 35cm. Check how taught the wire is often. Does your finger fit between the lawn and the wire? Tighten it.

Tip 3: map the garden again

The first 3 times you use the Indego, the device learns the mowing route. Does your robot lawn mower not mow in parallel strips or does it skip areas after these 3 routes? It probably remembered obstacles that interrupt the route. This can be heaps of sand, toys, or plants. Set up the robot lawn mower again and let it map the garden again.
