I think the JBL Quantum 200 is an excellent wired headset. The sound is good and the headset is very comfortable. Installing was also very easy and I was soon gaming. The JBL Quantum 200 does feel less sturdy than its bigger brothers.
Headset is comfortable
The JBL Quantum 200 fits really well. Longer gaming sessions are also no problem for this headset. The headband has a thin cushion, but fits well. The ear cups are really comfortable, even during longer gaming sessions. When I started working with this headset, I noticed that the Quantum 200 is less sturdy than its bigger brothers. The material around the ear cups feel a lot more fragile. The headset is otherwise very comfortable and does not pinch while playing. Now I have a slightly smaller head than the average person, so keep this in mind.
Easy installation
Like other wired gaming headsets, the Quantum 200 is incredibly easy to use. It really is a matter of plug and play. This headset has a PC splitter cable as an accessory, with which you can also play on older PCs. Since most PCs no longer need this spacer, I thought this was a bit of an unnecessary extra. I found it useful that this cable also serves as an extension cable. This way I have a lot more freedom of movement.
Great sound
The JBL Quantum 200 features JBL Quantum Surround Sound, JBL's proprietary software. This technique sounds fine, you estimate the direction of the sound well. It's not the best sound I've ever heard, but more than adequate for the price. Unfortunately, the Quantum 300 doesn't have a balance button for the in-game audio or party chat, so I had to adjust the settings on my PC or console. The microphone is really really good.
Not wireless
This also brings us to the only drawback of this headset. You are always tied to a wire while gaming. The cable gets in the way while gaming, especially if you want to quickly pour a glass of water. In addition, you cannot easily connect the JBL Quantum 200 to your telephone, since they often no longer have a 3.5mm connection.
