The printer is a fairly solid block (or so it looks).
You expect good quality in terms of brand, appearance and weight. As far as the hardware and the print quality are concerned, you will not be disappointed. The printer is very well made, and the prints look very sharp (even the very small print). I am more than satisfied with this, especially considering the limited purchase price.
The software installed on the printer, on the other hand, is disappointing.
That is to say: It's potentially good: you can set a lot of settings in a simple and user-friendly way, up to and including automatically switching on/off the printer.
But the stability of the software installed on the printer itself leaves much to be desired: the printer crashes regularly (about twice a week), when turning it on, while working or when turning it off. Even if the printer is on standby, it still has a chance of crashing. Please note: this is not about the driver on the PC, but about the software on the printer itself.
Fortunately, this does not happen very often: as indicated, about twice a week. Considering my usage, not so often that I return it, but often enough to be quite annoying.
I hope this gets resolved very soon by HP with an update from HP to the hardware (the printer itself), because right now, as good as the printer potentially is, it is usable, but unreliable.
