How do you place the water filter in your Krups Evidence?
On this page, we'll explain how to replace the water filter of your Krups Evidence, Evidence Plus, and Evidence One. You can do this in a few simple steps. Select the right menu, remove the old water filter, and place the new water filter int he water tank. The water filter will then rinse shortly. This job doesn't take more than 10 minutes. Repeat these steps every 2 months.

You need:

- Container of at least 600ml
How often should you replace the water filter?

You replace the water filter of your Krups fully automatic coffee machine every 2 months. That way, you can avoid limescale in the pipes of your machine. The water filter filters limescale and chloride particle from the water. This also keeps the machine in good condition, so it can continue to do its job well.
Step 1: select the right menu
- Press the button with the cogwheel to go to 'Settings'.
- Go to the option 'Maintenance' and press 'OK'.
- Use the arrows to navigate to 'Filter' and press 'OK'.
- Select the option 'Replace' and confirm this with 'OK'.
- Take the water tank out of the machine and pour possible water.
- Place the attachment on the used water filter and take the water filter out of the water tank.
- Fill the empty water tank with fresh water.
Step 2: install the water filter
- Get the new water filter.
- Turn the dial on top of the water filter until the first number matches the month in which you install the water filter.
- The second number is the month that you need to replace the water filter in.
- Click the included attachment onto the new water filter.
- Secure the water filter into the water tank.
- Put the water tank into the coffee machine.
- Press 'OK' to confirm.
Step 3: rinse the water filter
- The display will show 'Install water filter'. Press 'OK' to confirm.
- Put a container of at least 600ml under the coffee outlet. Press 'OK'.
- The machine will now rinse.
- Once it's done rinsing, you'll see 'Completed' on the display.
- Remove the container and press 'OK'.
- The water filter of your Krups Evidence has now been installed successfully.
