How do you place the water filter in your De'Longhi Magnifica?

How often should you replace the water filter?

You usually replace the water filter every 2 months, or when your coffee machine indicates it's time to do it. This always depends on the hardness of your tap water and how many cups of coffee you make per day. The De'Longhi water filter fits exactly into your machine.
Step 1: prepare the water filter
- Set the date on the water filter 2 months ahead.
- Hold the filter under the faucet until the water flows out sideways.
- Remove the water tank from the machine and fill it to 'MAX' with water.
- Immerse the filter in the water and squeeze out the air bubbles.
- Press the filter into the round opening in the water tank.
- Place the water tank back into the unit.
Step 2: install the water filter
- Place a container of at least 0.5L under the steam wand.
- Turn the steam dial to setting 'I'.
- Allow the unit to dispense warm water for a few seconds until the water flow stabilizes.
- Turn the steam dial back to setting '0'.
- The machine is now ready for use again.
