Which refresh rate and response time do you want?
The refresh rate determines how smooth moving images look on the screen. Samsung monitors have a minimum refresh rate of 144Hz. This is good enough for shooters like Call of Duty. Choose 240Hz or more if you're a competitive gamer. With a low response time, you see moving images on the screen faster. Most Samsung gaming monitors have a 1ms response time. Choose a very fast 0.03ms response time for the smoothest images.
Which games do you want to play?
For simple shooters like Counter-Strike or Call of Duty, a smaller monitor with a high refresh rate and low response time is the best choice. You can best experience large open world games or RPGs like Elden Ring on large monitors with a Quad HD or 4K resolution. This image quality is also the best for a strategy or simulation game like Civilization or Microsoft Flight Simulator.
