I can see the serrated edges of the claws of the lobster, for example.

Besides Mini-LED, this QNED TV has a Quantum Dot layer and a NanoCell filter. Both techniques use tiny particles that ensure as many of the right colors as possible end up on the screen. The colors of the image don't change either. This allows you to watch the screen with a large group of friends. There are many bright lights at LG, which causes me to see my reflection in the screen. I expect the reflections to be less in a room that doesn't have as many bright lights.

The LG QNED996 has a flat design with a thin, black bezel. Thanks to the thin bezel, the screen seems extra large. The flat design also makes the TV very suitable for mounting to the wall. Don't forget to purchase a wall mount with the TV if you want this. Do you prefer to put it on a TV cabinet? The TV includes a half-round stand. Thanks to the flat design, you'll barely see it on your cabinet.

I select some music to test the sound. The television has 4 speakers and 2 built-in subwoofers. The speakers ensure I can clearly hear the voice of the singer. The smart platform fills the entire screen of the QNED996. This directly offers a clear overview of the devices, functions, and applications. I can see which devices have been connected and the available updates. I also see a row of tiles with popular movies and series. Useful, because this'll give me inspiration for new content right away. Of course, there are many common apps like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube.

I can control the TV with the LG Magic Remote. This 'magic' remote works with motions. When I point the Magic Remote at the screen, the cursor appears. The cursor will then move along when I move the Magic Remote. The remote also supports voice control and has an NFC chip. Thanks to this chip, you can connect your smartphone to the TV by placing it on the Magic Remote. Useful, because this allows you to quickly share content from your phone.
