First impression of the Jaybird Vista
When I unpack the Jaybird Vista, I don't see anything crazy. It's a neat box with a compartment with the manual and accessories in it. When I grab the earbuds, I notice that the earbuds aren't the only thing that became smaller. The charging case is smaller too. As a result, they fit in your pocket even better. This makes it easier for you to take them with you. I notice that different earbud sizes aren't included, just extra ear hook sizes with an earbud attached.
Fit is a bit of a search
Only different ear hook sizes with earbuds attached are included, which makes the fit a bit of a search and something to get used to. Because the ear hook and earbud are attached, it's more difficult to change them. The default size on the Jaybird Vista is quite difficult to take off. It took me at least 15 minutes to take them off the earbuds. Not very user-friendly or easy, but they fit well once you've found the right size. Especially during your workout, the earbuds will stay in your ears firmly.
Different connection
After I've unboxed the earbuds completely, I want to connect them to my phone. This should be done in a different way than I'm used to, because you'd usually just take the earbuds out of the charging case and press a button on the earbud. But with the Jaybird Vista, you should leave the earbuds in the case and press and hold the button on the case. It's strange that this is how they connect, because it took longer before I could listen to my favorite music this way.
Clear sound
Once I'm connected to my smartphone, I was able to enjoy the sound. The songs that I play sound clear and have a decent bass. But when you listen to a song with both treble and bass, you'll notice that they sometimes collide. As a result, the sound is distorted sometimes. All in all, the Jaybird Vista produces a very good sound.
Very extensive app
If you prefer to change the sound from the default settings, you can download the Jaybird Sound+ app. From all earbuds that I've seen with an app, this one has the most extensive equalizer. You can choose from a number of presets by Jaybird, make your own preset, or download one of others. Enter a keyword in the search bar and check if someone else in the world made a preset for the music you like to listen to. A great function that makes the sound quality even better. You really notice the positive effect an equalizer can have on your music.
Conclusion
The Jaybird Vista are excellent earbuds that offer a very extensive user experience in terms of sound quality. Thanks to the app, you can choose from many different types of the equalizer. This allows you to listen to a personalized sound. The only thing that took me some time to figure out was how to connect it to my phone. Other than that, I'm very excited about these earbuds.
